Funding for NSW Disability Advocacy is secured for two years

Berejiklian to reverse funding cuts to disability groups

The state government will reverse funding cuts to dozens of organisations that advocate for people with a disability, after sustained pressure from groups that faced collapse.

NSW had ruled out maintaining $13 million a year in funding for advocacy groups once the state government transfers its disability services spending to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in July.

This funding commitment means that we can get back to doing what we do best – ensuring people with disability have the support to speak up for ourselves and each other.
